Go with that. 4231 as we have the players to play that. If Antonio isn't fit no idea, maybe play Kevin Nolan up top! Feel a bit for Balbuena as he played his way back to form before an injury. Not quite sure who I'd go for between him and Diop.

Manuel- Back to the 'too much respect' issue methinks? There is no reason why we should not win the match tomorrow provided the players believe we can, they must go out with a winning mentality and go for it!

Moyes has never beaten Mourinho in 15 attempts. He truly does have a shocking record against the big teams/managers.

If Antonio is fit then he should play regardless of how “match fit” he is. Even if we get an hour out of him it’s better than anything else we have.
We are away at Man City the following week which is about as much of a guaranteed loss you can get so he can be rested again for that.
This game is more important.

I guess Moyes will largely stick with the team that beat Sheffield with the exception of Lanzini who's passing and general involvement was sub par to say the least ( his passing was dreadful and he gave it away far too much and contributed little with pressing, defending either - just a shadow of his best days in the Payet era :-( ).
So then the decision is whether you replace him with Benrahma or Fredericks? Moyes used Bowen, Lingard and Lanzini in a kind of "fluid" arrangement with no set positions as such. That can cause the opposition problems especially if, as we hope, Benrahma does a better job than Lanzini. The downside is whether we think there will be enough protection in midfield defensively? Noble was brought on ( yes he is slow and in the twilight of his career but is still tidy in possession, puts in a shift etc) to bolster that midfield area 2nd half.
As good as Soucek and Rice have been only 2 centrally in midfield might see us overrun. Johnson was excellent in terms of getting the balance of attack and defence correct. He gave protection down the left as well as some attacking threat.
Can Benrahma do that? Or do we go for Fredericks? A more limited player technically and guilty of poor passing and decision making in the past but improved under Moyes and co. He is a physically stronger defender, very quick and was once a winger and is doing better getting to the line and getting crosses in. Benrahma the more creative though and could cause Dier and co problems in the penalty area.
Its a tough call IMO. Some will not feel that is the case. I would be tempted to start with Fredericks, try to keep the pace of Son and Moura at bay with his help and generally compete better in midfield. Then release Benrahma after 60 mins as hopefully Spurs tire? But its only my opinion, an ageing armchair fan who is not paid a kings ransom to get these things right :-) In the words of Manuel ( not the one on here the Faulty Towers one ) "I know nothing" .

I was divided about fitting Fredericks in, he has really raised the attack when brought on recently and his goal was brilliantly taken. But I keep as a sub.

Tomshardware That's a decent Spurs line up tonight. Would be our luck that Alli and Bale play their way into form with goals and a big win.

We won't know the truth until Sunday could be bullshit on both sides. But I'm very surprised Brucie's not on the bench tonight.

No point playing Antonio unless he's 100%, we'll see come Sunday. We should have too much for them even without him.

Got a feeling Antonio has been put aside for this. Moyes will pick and choose his matches until the end of the season. Well at least I reckon that's the plan.

Are they still trying to give it the old "He's tired" line, or are they admitting he's injured yet?

I'll be surprised if Antonio is fit, and think we'll stay with the team which beat Sheffield It's.

I suspected that was the case. We should be able to beat teams like Sheff U without Antonio. No point risking a season-ending injury to beat the bottom team.

Usual web gossip "bollocks", but thisisfutbol today saying Antonio's absence against Sheff Utd was only a precaution and he is definitely back for Sunday.

7-0. Hammers. No idea on team, though.
